Paint Horses really stood out to me. Not only were they eye catching with their interesting flashy color combinations but so versatile. The first horses purchased by Dream Chaser Ranch were two registered paint geldings that were the epitome of versatility. Two tall good looking sorrel overo geldings that could take you down the trail, around the barrels, chase cattle and then make you laugh with their antics at home. As everybody horsey knows, horse ownership is much like an addiction. Two horses soon became three, and then four and on and on. Horse shows, clinics, lessons, barrel races, trail-rides, etc. have become a permanent part of my life. As my adventure into the horse world progressed I noticed there was a lack of Paint horses with good working bloodlines in Manitoba. Sure, there were lots of nice Paints with great Western Pleasure or Halter lines but my attention had been sparked by events like barrel racing, reining, and all the cattle events.
He was 2 years old when he
arrived in Anola and has turned out to be more then I ever could have dreamed or hoped
for. He has matured into a wonderful performance stallion with great conformation and a
fantastic temperament. It was also important to me to have strong
maternal lines at Dream Chaser Ranch and have purchased some extremely well bred mares
with which to cross him to. They are daughters of world champions and have some of the
best racing, cutting and reining bloodlines in the Paint Industry today.
